Technical details

Technical Details: The machine tool manufacturer Heckert Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Chemitz/Germany uses the Kappa DVM module to observe the machining process in medium size and large machining centers. The centers use up to 100 tools to mill complete crank housings or cylinder heads. Size and position of the working axes make direct visual control of the operation impossible.

Kappas
DVM-Module assures the observation of the machining process directly in the working room and provides all necessary information for the machine operator on a monitor. Visual control of the tool magazine is also possible. The operator controls the camera from an operating desk at the outside. Because of the aggressive nature of the coolant the camera is hermetically sealed in a protective housing. To ensure a clear camera image at any time, compressed air is constantly blown across the front of the camera sensor.
