Kappa’s cameras are perfectly designed for integration into traffic surveillance systems. Data is either transferred via Ethernet to a remote computer or stored onsite. We can flexibly implement system providers’ special requirements. Common examples of traffic applications are red-light surveillance, integration into speed surveillance systems, and tunnel surveillance.

HDR sensors for the most difficult lighting conditions.

Dark tunnels, glistening sunlight, blinding headlights at dusk: even under the most extreme lighting conditions, Kappa HDR traffic cameras offer excellent, low-noise image quality with great dynamic range in any brightness. To achieve this, we rely on adapted sensor technology. We offer a specialized double sensor as well as a special CMOS HDR sensor. In both traffic images for use as evidence and in traffic surveillance, even under the most difficult lighting conditions with extreme differences in illumination, both the absolute recognizability of the driver as well as the legibility of the license plate must always be ensured.

Electronic image signature,
admissible in court

For documentation of traffic violations that will stand up in court, secure authentication of image data is a must.
With Kappa’s signature process, images and violation data are electronically signed together within the camera itself. This process is integrated into the camera, independent of the operating system. Images are transmitted already signed from the camera.
