The Catalog - Kappa Handbook 2009:
The Kappa Handbook presents our corporate portfolio, from mega pixel resolution to requirements management, from standard products to customer series. We give you an overview of our CCD and CMOS cameras as well as over the Kappa PC and camera software.
Emlix is an Open Source development service provider and Kappa a specialist for industrial cameras. The new embedded Linux platform merges the expertise of the partners. It provides flexibility, independence of external components and shorter development cycles for better economic efficiency. In the light of the current general investment backlog this push for innovation comes just at the right moment. The first Kappa cameras with embedded Linux operating system platform feature CMOS sensors, memory card and different interfaces. Several outputs are provided, the conventional USB as well as DVI-HDMI and classic video output. Kappa mainly designs cameras for customer series – as stand-alone system or mobile inspection system. Emlix presents the platform with an adapted Kappa camera from March 2-4 on the "Embedded World” fair in Nuremberg/Germany 2 (hall 11, booth 222, www.embedded-world.de).
